“Marie Jennings, Library Consultant, worked with me organising historical family files over a three-month period in 2024. The work entailed: organising, liaising, researching, cataloguing and preparing materials, with a view, to adding to the archival collection of the Hunt Museums Trust. I have no hesitation recommending Marie for a library consulting role.  Marie is flexible, personable, diligent and straightforward to work with.” Patricia Hunt

“I coordinated a project in 2020 for which Marie completed high level Library and Office surveys, and assisted with the drafting of a Library Collection Development Policy. Even with the ongoing challenge of the pandemic, Marie was efficient, conscientious, and flexible to meet the demands of the project. Further to this, in 2021-2022 Marie worked with us on the next stage of the project, the delivery of a Library Catalogue for use by internal staff, acting as an Advisor on best practice methodologies for cataloguing the collection. She helped us to estimate the timelines for the cataloguing stages, compiled a catalogue training manual, mentored our Catalogue Assistant and provided quality control checks of catalogue records continuously throughout the project. Marie was a pleasure to deal with throughout all stages of the project, which really makes a difference. I would have no hesitation recommending her for other projects. Her high level of expertise is clear to see and she has a keen eye for the individual needs of the client.” Kathryn Coughlan – Consultant – Collection Care and Documentation for Museums and Galleries.

Marie managed all aspects of the Province Libraries including the transportation of a large number of books from our Marianella library to our other libraries and the relocation of our valuable Irish Studies collection from our library in Limerick to our library in Belfast. Marie carried out these tasks in an efficient and organised fashion having due regard for keeping the library service open for users”. Michael Kelleher – Former Provincial of the Redemptorists.

It was a joy to work with Marie on the development of a toolkit for the acquisition of home languages materials for libraries. Marie was very professional about her work, adopted a detailed and expert approach, and communicated regularly with the team. She worked independently while liaising with two different organisations. Marie was at all times punctual, honest and responsible and I would highly recommend her for any work.Sheila Kelly
